Purpose of the association

The association HamburgerKino e.V. has made it its task to exclusively and directly promote art and culture for the public under the meaning of § 52 (2) No. 1 AO and Annex 1 to § 48 (2) No. 3a EStDV and, within this non-profit framework, to give every interested person the opportunity to produce short films with a non-commercial distribution objective at home and abroad.

Specifically, the association and its members aim to enable the public to experience the creation process of the short films, to exchange views about it and to present the resulting short films. Where possible, the association provides advice and technical aids. Furthermore, the association organizes discussion rounds and workshops on the subject of film.

Since there is a regular and active exchange at an international level with other cinema groups for the joint production of short films, the association attempts to enable trips to the aforementioned cinema groups in order to organize and realize short film projects there in turn.

The association fulfills this purpose itself in accordance with § 57 (1) AO.
